Camping in Toronto
On June 3rd we left for our camping trip to Toronto. We camped at Albion Hills conservation park. It was an easy trip for us, Alyssa had her movies to watch since our new van has a dvd player so she was happy. Cassie slept on and off on the trip, nursing when we stopped at the rest area. In the bathroom because the little stinker is grabby! I tried to nurse her out in public but she decided that it would be fun to flash everyone because she kept grabbing at the blanket and pulling it off.
The only bad thing, it was raining! It rained from Ottawa all the way to the camping grounds! So Trent and I pitched our tent in the rain while the girls sat in the van. Alyssa occupied by her movie. We did have to go back to her because a mosquito had gotten into the van when we opened it. (OMG they seemed to just swarm the van as soon as we pulled in.) So mosquito killed, back to pitching the tent..... It has mesh on the roof, and then the rain jacket covers it, I gues in hinesight we should have laid out the tent fast, getting the poles in the right spot, THEN laying the rain jacket on top of it, all poles with that, then pop the tent up so that when it was standing up, it wasn't getting wet on the inside. Oh well, we learned! LOL
So since we did it that way, the mesh got soaked, which then dripped all night onto Trent and my bed.
